  FIRE COMMISSIONERS
  MONTHLY MEETING
  OCTOBER 9, 2012
  Called to order 6:05 P.M.

  Comments by Public – Fred Brown.

  Motion by Commissioner Sweeney to approve minutes of previous meeting, seconded by Commissioner Carew. Unanimous.

  Fire Marshal’s Report – motion by Commissioner Callahan to approve, seconded by Commissioner Carew. Unanimous

  Deputy Chief’s Report – motion by Commissioner Carew to approve, seconded by Commissioner Sweeney. Unanimous.

  Chief’s Report – Chief out of town will hand in next month.

  Commissioners Report –Commissioner Sweeney makes a motion to approve the contract between Union and management from July 1, 2011 to June 30, 2016, seconded by Commissioner Carew. Unanimous. The board wants to commend Chief O’Brien on his goal of updating the language of the contract. It would also like to commend Deputy Chief Schwartz for his work on the 24 hour change over. The fire academy at the high school has started.

  New Business – none.

  Motion by Commissioner Sweeney to go into Executive Session at 6:50 P.M., seconded by Commissioner Carew. Unanimous.

  Return to regular session at 7:55 P.M.

  Motion by Commissioner Callahan to hire Hi Tech Electrician to put in Security Caremas for the building at price of $5,375.45, seconded by Commissioner Sweeney. Unmanimous.

  Motion by Commissioner Callahan to adjourn at 8:00 P.M., seconded by Commissioner Carew. Unanimous.
